An armchair should work with the room and the person using it. Compare seat height, depth and arm position, then consider how the upholstery relates to the sofa and rug. A reading corner also needs a reachable surface and suitable light. Confirm the selected finish and current availability before ordering.

Which dimensions affect armchair comfort?
Compare seat height and depth, the back angle and arm height with the way the chair will be used. Overall width includes parts that do not add usable seating space. Where possible, assess the actual chair or ask for the missing seat measurements.
Will an armchair fit beside my table?
Check the table height against the chair arm and the reach from the seat. Allow for getting in and out, and include the back footprint in your plan. Keep doors, drawers and nearby walking routes usable.
