Made to Order
Explore paintings, sculptures and decorative art in relation to your room and the work itself. Compare scale, medium and display requirements, and ask for artist or maker information where relevant. Originality, edition and provenance should be established for the individual piece. Use the collection to shortlist works, then confirm the details needed for placement and purchase.

Selecting art
Details to confirm for your selection
- medium and support
- overall dimensions
- maker documentation
- edition or provenance
- weight and fixing
- frame or base contents
Which records should accompany an art selection?
Request the documented medium, dimensions and supplied frame or base. Where an artist, edition or original work is claimed, ask for supporting attribution and provenance records. A catalogue name, signature image or collection label is not independent authentication.
What should I check before displaying a work?
Compare the total dimensions and documented weight with the intended wall or supporting surface. Confirm hanging, fixing, handling and medium-specific care requirements. Ask which display components are included, and seek specialist advice where the work or installation calls for it.
