Made to Order
Choose a painting for its visual relationship with the room and for the work itself. Compare framed dimensions, medium and colour with the viewing distance and light. Ask for the artist, edition and provenance details where applicable. Confirm whether framing is included and what hanging arrangements the work requires. Compare artist if verified, medium, dimensions with your intended setting, then check the details recorded for each piece. Where a specification is missing, ask about the selected SKU before making a decision.

What information should accompany a painting?
Request the recorded medium, support, dimensions and frame details, plus maker, edition and provenance documents where claimed. A title or signature photograph is not independent authentication. Clarify whether the item is an original, edition, reproduction or decorative work.
How should I plan a painting’s display?
Check total framed dimensions, weight and hanging requirements. Seek medium-specific advice about light, humidity and handling, especially for valuable or vulnerable works. Avoid treating one general care recommendation as suitable for every painting.
