In the walled city of Jaipur, the artisans of Kala Kendra practice the ancient cire perdue — lost-wax casting technique that dates back over 5,000 years. Each bronze sculpture begins as a hand-sculpted wax original, encased in clay, and fired until the wax melts away. Molten bronze then fills the void, capturing every fingerprint of the original form.
